Term 1 Week 7

Welcome to Week 7! Keep up the great work posting and doing your Studyladder tasks. Remember to keep collecting sponsors for the walkathon. Your forms need to be at school by this Friday (money can be returned after the walkathon).
Practise your spelling rules and dictation and work on your cursive writing if you have time. It is important to read each night. The teachers are interested to know the names of the chapter books you are reading so you can post these on the blog also. Studyladder tasks have been set for both Year 4 classes.

Handwriting Passage for Week 7:

My nephew saw a picture of an elephant on his alphabet chart. The little orphan did not know how to use the telephone. The trophy consisted of a sphere sitting on top of a sphinx.  I had to check the pamphlet for all the missing hyphens.

Dictation Passage for Week 7:

1.  That white swimming costume cost a fortune.

2.  Dad gave Mum some smelly perfume.

3.   I refuse to give an excuse.

4.  We will make a huge fortune if we compose a good tune.
