TERM 2 Homework - Week 1

Welcome back everyone! We hope you had a restful and enjoyable holiday celebrating Easter with your family and friends. Term 2 is going to be an exciting term. Here are your spelling rules, dictation passage and handwriting passage for this week.  There are no Studyladder tasks this week as you will need to prepare your talk for next week.
Next week's NEWS topic is to share some news with the class about a movie you have seen recently. Talk about where you saw the film, who with, what it was about. Give the movie a rating out of 10.
Remember to bring in your Mothers Day stall donations by the end of the week. Thanks to those students who have done so already. Have a great week!

Dictation Passage for Week 1:
We perceive that you have received more than your share.  On the ceiling was a weird pattern.  It will be a delight to see the fireworks at midnight tonight.  From this height it looks quite frightening.  If Roy is good he may take some toys in the car.  Jake will employ Carl to make a wooden tray.

Handwriting Passage for Week 11:
At the sight of the brave knight, the King’s men took flight.  My eyesight is not very good in this twilight.  The lightning was frightful.  I will not yield even if I drop my shield in the field of battle.  I do not believe that the thieves will grieve about the loss I feel.  Let me relieve you of having to achieve so much.  That is a ploy to pinch my toys!
Dictation Passage for Week 11:
You might be right about a night flight.  I had a fright when I saw the bright light.  The chief saw with relief that the handkerchief was not his.  My niece played a piece of music while my uncle leant against the mantelpiece.  Do not destroy these toys.  We made a long voyage to see the royal family.
